I Am Sad

1) Bob Barker's retirement from the Price is Right was today. I got home in time to watch the encore presentation at 7:00pm. I shed a tear, seriously.

2) I have jury duty on Monday @ 8:00am. Though I find it interesting, I'd rather not go. I get nervous when you get on a panel and are asked questions by the defense attorneys and the prosecutors. I feel as if I am on trial.

I am now going out now to drink my sorrows away!

Have a great weekend!

My goal is to never, ever serve on a jury. It's just too inconvenient. Call me anti-American - I can't help it. Good luck. Maybe you'll get booted early on.

Ew, jury duty. Well, if you get picked hopefully it will be a quick case. Or at least an interesting one!

When I was on a drunk driving jury in 1983, one day I was so hungover I thought I'd barf in the jury box. I know it was a Tuesday, b/c my roomate and I had gone out drinking Monday night to watch Monday Night Football with a hunky Olympic Water Polo player and started doing shots when the Rams lost . . . any whoo, we later found the defendant guilty. It didn't help that he looked like WC Fields

I'll always remember Bob Barker from HAPPY GILMORE. "The price is wrong bitch!" Then Barker opens up the can of whoop-ass on Sandler. Good times.

Jury duty's really not too bad. I've only been on one case, and it was short and fairly straight forward. I get called at a regular interval, but I always get the kind where you check-in by phone. Rarely do you have to actually report, and when you do, it's out of there by lunchtime, duty served.

I'm sorry I missed Bob Barker's send off. My dad was a big fan of his.
