Paramore - Misery Business

Here is a super lame video for a really great song, Misery Business, from the band Paramore. I was just introduced to them thanks my brother. They hail from Franklin, TN and the lead singer is only 19 years old. I really like her voice and she is cute to boot. Is this Pop-Punk or Emo music. I can't keep up with the terminology these days. I am getting old.

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

I have decided to throw myself a little shindig for my 27th birthday. Since my birthday falls in the middle of the week this year, I probably won't be celebrating too hard until the weekend. So... welcome to my blog party! I hope you all enjoy yourselves! Let me know if you need anything. I think I have all of the details covered. Please let me know if I missed anything.

The Venue... The party will be held at Ryan's Randomness

Excuse me, but I have already started drinking. Please sit down and pour yourself a cold one.

Food and Drinks will be provided by Ryan's favorite lunchtime eatery in Sacramento, Jack's Urban Eats.

Birthday Cake provided by Freeport Bakery.

Balloons will be provided by the wonderfully white trashy party store Wishing Well.

Musical Entertainment... Garbage, Dixie Chicks, and Justin Timberlake will be performing at my party. Much thanks to all of them for finding time in their busy schedules to perform at my party.

Garbage - "Push It"

Dixie Chicks - "Sin Wagon"

Justin Timberlake - "LoveStoned"

The only present I truly want for my B'Day would be the presence of this nice young gentleman. Is this request too much to ask for? I think not!

If you can think of anything else please feel free to let me know. I hope you enjoy the party!

Vacation Recap - Frazier Falls Hike

Well, the falls in Yosemite are mighty spectacular, but for little old Plumas County, Frazier Falls isn’t bad, particularly in the spring and early summer when Frazier Creek is in full flow. The falls are still falling in late summer and autumn, but they are nowhere near as spectacular as earlier.

The trail winds around and over rocks that were polished by the glacier that filled this canyon around 10,000 years ago. In ¼ mile, the route crosses a nice footbridge over Frazier Creek. For a view from the top of the falls you have to travel 200 yards off of the main trail. It is a spectacular view, but can be extremely dangerous. Once you return to the main trail, you can follow it to the end, which is about a ½ mile. This site is directly across the canyon from the falls. The falls' vertical drop of 176 feet is one of the highest in California. As the water crashes to the bottom, it creates a cloud of spray, which casts a glow of rainbow colors, when the sun is on it.

This weekend, my family and I are going to our annual golfing tourney up in the Sierra Nevada’s at Plumas Pines Golf Course. Though I don't golf, due to my lack of patience, I do drink and drive the cart like a freakin' pro! I find it relaxing and fun. Cheers to all! Oh, I promise I will finish my Gwen post. I have just been so damn busy and haven't been on the computer as much this week. Sorry for the lack of comments on all of my favorite blogs this week. I hope you all have a great weekend.

No Doubt, She Puts On a Great Show

For my birthday, which is June 27th, my friend Katie bought me tickets to see Gwen Stefani. The concert was last night, and I will give you my take on it a little later. I am tired right now. Here is a picture to stimulate your eyes.

I Am Sad

1) Bob Barker's retirement from the Price is Right was today. I got home in time to watch the encore presentation at 7:00pm. I shed a tear, seriously.

2) I have jury duty on Monday @ 8:00am. Though I find it interesting, I'd rather not go. I get nervous when you get on a panel and are asked questions by the defense attorneys and the prosecutors. I feel as if I am on trial.

I am now going out now to drink my sorrows away!

Have a great weekend!

Do You Need Change?

Yesterday afternoon I met a friend for lunch in downtown Sacramento. Since I was dressed up and looking extremely dapper due to the fact that I had a job interview and a doctor's appointment, I decided to go a restaurant that many bigwig politicians patronize. It is called Esquire Grill; overpriced and super exhausting. The people there were a riot. The booze was flowing at 12:30pm and the stench of old man cologne was in the air. Anyways, the company was great and food was decent. The only rant I have is the issue of the wait staff. First off, when did the wait staff stop learning about the wine that they serve? When we asked the waiter a question about a particular type of wine, he looked dumbfounded and had not a clue what we were asking him. That is extremely annoying. The other thing that annoyed me was when I paid the bill. I had decided to pay cash. When the waiter came back to pick up the tab he asked, "do you need change?" Now I am sorry, but I think that question is extremely tacky! The bill came to around $50 and he had no clue which denominations I placed inside of the booklet. I had placed $60 in the booklet for the meal and I was going to leave the rest as a tip, but I decided that I would like my change back. The waiter was so damn tricky that he brought back my change, two dimes and a ten-dollar bill. Asshole! I bet he thought I wasn't going to ask him to come back to the table and break the ten-dollar bill. Well, I did. He probably thought that I was the asshole, but I left him the entire ten dollars like I had planned before the "do you need change" statement. He just had to work a little harder for that 20% tip.

And a question for all of y'all, is it wrong that I dress up when I go to this particular doctor due to his extreme hotness? Is that a little odd?
